WiTour.com is a platform and brand for creators of location-based tours.
Our goal is to offer tools, training, distribution, and a business models to producers of tours. The tools will promote collaboration in the production and updating of a tour.
To get some experience in producing tours, our first experiement was a walk-about of historic Bowling Green Park that can be played on iPods and other MP3 players.
In the next years, there will be a proliferation of low-cost, location-aware devices (cell phones and PDAs that know where you are, with strong multimedia features). Content will be the draw for these devices, content that is the product the imagination of the producers creating it.
We intend to stimulate the imagination of producers, and help them create, distribute, and prosper through the WiTour brand.
